Journey deep into the rugged beauty of Lerderderg State Park on this heritage trail that weaves together 19th century gold-mining history and nature.

We’ll hike through lush fern gullies, historic water races and eucalypt forests lining the Lerderderg river.

It’s a moderately challenging women’s hike with uneven terrain and sections that test your footing, but the stunning scenery and views make it highly rewarding.

Sherbrooke Forest Day Hike

This trail winds through the heart of the Dandenong Ranges taking you through shaded gullies and scenic ridgelines to the cascading Sherbrooke Falls. Morning Tea is in the beautiful Alfred Nicholas Memorial Garden where we take time to explore the ornamental lake, iconic boathouse and tranquil pathways before completing the loop back through more rainforest.

Steavenson Falls Day Hike

This full-day women’s hike, through the picturesque alpine region, begins at the base of iconic Steavenson Falls. The dramatic 84-metre cascade, plunging into a lush, fern-lined valley, makes it one of the tallest waterfalls in Victoria. From here, we hike through mountain ash forest before climbing steadily to Keppel Lookout, along fire trails, narrower bush tracks, temperate rainforest and eucalyptus woodland.

Wilhelmina Falls Day Hike

Rising out of the forests of the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve, Wilhelmina Falls is one of Victoria’s most impressive cascades — and the trail to reach it is just as memorable. The track winds through tall eucalypt forest and fern-filled gullies before opening onto rocky outcrops that reveal sweeping views across the valley. The final approach to the falls involves a steady climb, rewarded by the sight and sound of water rushing dramatically over a sheer rock face.
